Lot 500: UK 2023 Charles III .999 Fine Silver 1/10 oz Britannia 20 Pence Coin
A 2023 UK silver bullion coin, struck in .999 fine silver. The obverse features the first definitive coinage portrait of King Charles III facing left, surrounded by the struck legend CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 20 PENCE. A small MJ monogram is visible at the truncation of the neck. The reverse depicts the standing figure of Britannia in a Corinthian helmet, holding a trident in her right hand and resting her left hand on a shield bearing the Union flag. A small trident privy mark appears in a circular field to the left. The reverse is struck with the inscription BRITANNIA 2023 1/10 oz 999 FINE SILVER, with the name NATHAN struck at the bottom edge. The coin features a radial sunray background and a crenellated border on both sides.

Condition report:
The coin shows signs of significant environmental exposure and handling. The obverse exhibits heavy dark toning and surface grime across the fields, with visible contact marks and minor scratches on the portrait of King Charles III. The reverse also displays dark tarnish, particularly concentrated around the inscriptions and the figure of Britannia, with some surface grime and light handling marks throughout. No protective capsule or original packaging is present.
