Lot 389: UK 1985 Brilliant Uncirculated Coin Collection Set

A UK brilliant uncirculated coin collection, issued in 1985 by the Royal Mint. The set is presented in its original red card folder featuring a Yeoman Warder and the Tower of London on the cover. The folder is printed with the text UNITED KINGDOM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED COIN COLLECTION 1985 and Royal Mint. The collection comprises seven denominations: a one pound coin, a fifty pence coin, a twenty pence coin, a ten pence coin, a five pence coin, a two pence coin, and a one penny coin. The reverse of the one pound coin features a Welsh leek within a coronet; the fifty pence coin shows Britannia seated beside a lion; the twenty pence coin bears a crowned Tudor rose; the ten pence coin displays a crowned lion; the five pence coin shows a crowned thistle; the two pence coin features the Prince of Wales’s feathers; and the one penny coin depicts a crowned portcullis.
