A set of UK pre-decimal coins, presented in a black display board within a clear plastic case. The collection comprises nine individual coins featuring the coinage of Queen Elizabeth II. Centrally placed is a 1965 commemorative crown, struck to mark the death of Sir Winston Churchill. The obverse of the crown features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. 1965, and the reverse carries the portrait of Churchill. The set also includes a half crown, florin, English shilling, and Scottish shilling, all struck with the year 1965. The lower section contains a sixpence, a three pence, a penny, and a half penny. The penny and half penny are struck with the year 1967. The display board is titled E II R 1965 in a silver-coloured script. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the case.

Condition report:

The coins exhibit varying degrees of environmental exposure and handling. The bronze penny and half penny show significant surface oxidation and a darkened, dulled patina. The cupro-nickel sixpence and Churchill crown display notable surface toning and tarnish, particularly to the fields. Light contact marks and fine surface scratches are visible across the denominations. The brass three pence shows typical surface dulling. The clear plastic display case shows light surface scuffing and accumulated dust.
