Lot 240: A Portable Halogen Work Light with Tubular Frame
Not sold
A portable halogen work light featuring a rectangular metal housing mounted on a yellow-painted tubular frame. The light source is a linear halogen bulb positioned behind a textured glass lens, which is protected by a series of horizontal metal wire guards. The frame includes a curved base and a carrying handle fitted with a black foam grip. A black insulated power cord is attached, terminating in a standard UK 3-pin plug marked FUSED and bearing BS certification marks. A white safety warning label is attached to the cord near the plug, though the text is largely obscured by surface deposits. An adjustment knob on the side of the housing allows for tilting of the lamp head. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are readable on the housing or the stand.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of heavy industrial use and environmental exposure. The yellow frame and black lamp housing are heavily soiled with dirt and dried mud (photos 1 and 2). Surface oxidation and rust are visible on the metal wire guards, screw heads, and adjustment fittings (photo 1). The foam handle grip shows signs of wear and ingrained dirt. The glass lens is dirty but appears structurally intact. The pins of the 3-pin plug show surface tarnish. The unit is sold as an untested electrical item and requires professional safety testing prior to use.
