A 2013 benchtop oscillating spindle sander, model JBOS-5. The machine features a tilting cast metal table supported by a metal housing. The unit is equipped with a dust extraction port at the rear, currently modified with silver adhesive tape. The sander is mounted to a custom plywood mobile base featuring four swivel casters and an open front compartment for storage. A silver identification plate on the housing is printed with JET MODEL: JBOS-5 OSCILLATING SPINDLE SANDER, POWER: ~230V 50HZ 3.6A P2=0.37KW S1, SPECIFICATION: L 6X152, Ø50X140MM; N=1400/MIN, ARTICLE NO. 708404M, WEIGHT 35 KG, SERIES NO. 13084533, YEAR 2013, a CE mark, and WALTER MEIER (TOOL) AG, CH-8117 FÄLLANDEN, SWITZERLAND. Included with the machine are four interchangeable sanding spindles of varying diameters and four circular throat plate inserts. The unit is fitted with a UK 3-pin power plug.

Condition report:
The machine shows signs of use and workshop wear. The cast metal table surface exhibits oxidation, staining, and surface scratches throughout (photo 2). The housing and internal components are covered in accumulated sawdust and resin residue (photo 3). The sanding sleeves on the spindles are worn and clogged (photo 4). The plywood base shows chips to the edges and general surface dirt (photo 6). The dust port modification with adhesive tape indicates a non-standard repair (photo 1). The mechanical and electrical functional status is not tested.
