A United Kingdom silver proof 50p coin, struck by The Royal Mint in 2017 to commemorate the characters of Beatrix Potter. The heptagonal coin is struck in sterling silver and features a colour-printed reverse design depicting the character Mr Jeremy Fisher in a red jacket, captioned with the inscription MR. JEREMY FISHER. The obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 50 PENCE 2017. The coin is housed within a clear acrylic display block and circular plastic capsule. This item is presented in a white and green themed gift box, containing a bespoke hardback edition of the book THE TALE OF MR. JEREMY FISHER by BEATRIX POTTER. A green certificate of authenticity is included, printed with the number 1455. The interior lid is printed with a statement confirming the partnership with THE ROYAL MINT.
Condition report:
The coin remains in its original protective acrylic display and circular plastic capsule, exhibiting no visible handling marks, toning, or environmental degradation. The printed reverse and struck obverse are in uncirculated proof condition. The accompanying book and presentation box are in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear to the corners or printed surfaces. The certificate of authenticity is intact and well-preserved.
