Sold for: £30
A large ceramic bowl featuring a deep circular form and a distinctive scalloped rim. The hand-painted decoration depicts a continuous harvest scene of ripening fruit, including pears, plums, grapes, and blackberries, set against a densely stippled background of ochre and brown tones. The rim and the raised foot ring are finished with thick bands of gilding. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Diameter: 19 cm
Height: 11 cm.
Condition report:
The bowl is in good overall condition. The hand-painted fruit decoration remains vibrant and shows no visible loss of pigment. The gilded finish on the scalloped rim and foot ring is largely intact, showing only minor surface wear consistent with handling. The interior base exhibits light circular glaze wear. There are no chips, cracks, or professional repairs visible.
