Lot 69: A 1996 Coalport Debutante Sharon Bone China Figurine
A hand-decorated bone china figurine from the Debutante series, titled Sharon. The figure is depicted in a dynamic pose, wearing a flowing salmon-pink gown with a blue-trimmed bodice and puffed sleeves. The woman holds the hem of her dress in her right hand and carries a wide-brimmed white hat in her left, which is decorated with yellow flowers and a blue ribbon. Her brown hair is tied with a blue bow. The underside of the base features a black printed backstamp consisting of a crown symbol above the word COALPORT, followed by BONE CHINA, MADE IN ENGLAND, EST. 1750, DEBUTANTE, SHARON, HAND DECORATED, and the copyright mark © COALPORT 1996. Additionally, a black printed number 13 and a handwritten black mark resembling a stylised K or crossed strokes are present. The underside rim is unglazed and bears faint, illegible incised marks.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs (photos 1, 3). Minor shelf wear and dark surface soiling are present on the unglazed underside rim (photos 2, 4). A small yellow residue mark is visible on the underside near the number 13 (photo 2).
