Lot 281: A 1919 Birmingham 22ct Gold D-Section Wedding Band
A 1919 22ct gold wedding band featuring a high-domed D-section profile and a polished finish. The interior of the band is struck with a series of legible British hallmarks. These include the maker’s mark H.A in a rectangular cartouche, a crown symbol, the fineness digits 22, the Birmingham Assay Office anchor town mark, and the date letter U in a square shield. The band has a broad width and substantial thickness.

Condition report:
The ring shows signs of significant wear including numerous surface scratches and small nicks to both the interior and exterior surfaces. There are several distinct indentations and bruises to the exterior dome. The metal retains a high-polished appearance and all hallmarks remain clear and legible.
