Lot 276: A Mid-20th Century Oak Two-Tier Trolley with Dual-Access Drawer
A Mid-20th Century oak trolley, featuring a rectangular two-tier design. The top surface is enclosed by a raised gallery on three sides, and the lower tier consists of a matching rectangular shelf. The piece is constructed with square-section upright legs that continue to form the corner posts. A single drawer is set within the upper frame, designed with machine-cut dovetail joints and capable of being accessed from either side of the trolley. The piece is supported by four metal casters. Each wheel is molded with the text ALL BRITISH GRESLEY. No other maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The oak surfaces show signs of use, including several water rings, scattered dark stains, and light scratches across the top and lower shelf (photo 2 and 4). There is localized lightening of the finish on the drawer front and top surface (photo 5). The metal casters exhibit surface oxidation and pitting (photo 3). The structural joinery appears stable.
