This lot comprises two framed displays relating to Liverpool Football Club. The first item is a vertical frame containing three novelty banknotes titled BANK OF LIVERPOOL, each marked THIS NOVELTY NOTE IS NOT LEGAL TENDER. The top note is a 20 POUNDS denomination featuring a portrait of STEVE GERRARD in a red kit and a central image of the player lifting the European Cup; it bears the serial number LFC 1967 67. The middle note is a 10 POUNDS denomination featuring LUIS GARCIA and the serial number LFC 1967 07. The print is inscribed PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 19/20 and WE ARE LIVERPOOL. THIS MEANS MORE. Both items are housed in silver-tone frames; the banknote display is mounted against a white background, while the photograph is set within a black double mount. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The banknote display shows minor handling wear to the frame edges and some light dust accumulation behind the glass. The photographic print and its mount appear in good condition, though the silver-tone frame shows occasional light scuffing to the corners. Both items are supplied in their respective frames.
