Lot 116: An Italian 925 Sterling Silver Figural Dolphin Link Bracelet
An Italian sterling silver figural link bracelet featuring fourteen individual dolphin links. Each link is cast in three dimensions with a curved body, dorsal fin, and fluked tail, connected through integrated loops to form a continuous chain. The bracelet is secured by a large lobster claw clasp attached via a jump ring. The terminal link near the clasp includes a flat oval section with stamped marks. One mark is a literal transcription of the word ITALY in capital letters. Adjacent to this, within a small oval cartouche, is a fineness mark reading 925, confirming the metal purity as sterling silver. The links are finished with a polished surface. No other maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The bracelet shows signs of heavy surface oxidation and significant tarnish, appearing as dark grey and yellow discoloration across the recessed areas of the dolphin links and the clasp mechanism. The metal surfaces exhibit minor scratches and wear from handling. The lobster claw clasp is functional. No protective case or original packaging is supplied.
