Lot 330: A Group of Kodak Instamatic Cameras and White Metal Hip Flasks
This lot comprises two Kodak Instamatic cameras in protective cases and two white metal hip flasks. The Kodak Instamatic 66X camera features a black textured body and is housed in a black pebble-grained case with an integrated neck strap. The top face is printed 66X INSTAMATIC CAMERA and the front face is marked KODAK. The Kodak Instamatic 33 camera features a front plate and black body, contained within a black pebble-grained case with a neck strap. The front plate is printed INSTAMATIC 33 CAMERA and KODAK. The interior of the lens cover flap is embossed MADE IN ENGLAND and H 33. The first white metal hip flask is of rectangular form with rounded sides and two raised horizontal bands, fitted with a knurled screw-top lid. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item. The second white metal hip flask features an etched scene of a golfer in mid-swing, fitted with a knurled screw-top lid. The lower left of the engraving bears a small printed copyright symbol ©. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The cameras and their cases show signs of age-related wear, surface scuffs, and dust (photo 1). The interior lining of the Instamatic 33 case shows discoloration and fading (photo 1). The internal functionality of the cameras is untested. The banded flask shows surface scratches and tarnish (photo 1). The golfing flask exhibits denting to the base edge and lower corners, with surface scratches and tarnish throughout the body (photo 1).
