Lot 327: A Trio of Late 20th Century Portable Audio Devices

This lot comprises three vintage portable audio devices dating to the late 20th century. The first is a Philips Portable Compact Disc Player, contained within its original retail box. The box is printed with the legends PHILIPS, PORTABLE COMPACT DISC PLAYER, DIGITAL, and DYNAMIC BASS BOOST, and bears a handwritten white adhesive label reading RSS ROY 23/12/92. The second item is a Sony Walkman FM/AM radio and cassette player, model WM-FX28. The dark grey casing is printed with the text SONY, WALKMAN FM/AM, and AVLS, and features a digital LCD display and control buttons including MODE, BAND, and PRESET. It is fitted with attached earphones bearing the SONY logo. The third item is a Realsound portable multiband radio. The unit features a dark grey cabinet with a circular analog tuning dial for FM-AIR and AM bands, marked from 108 to 134 MHZ and 53 to 160 X10KHZ respectively. The script text REALSOUND is printed on the lower front. A single mono earphone is attached to the unit. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
