Lot 304: A Petrol-Powered Hedge Trimmer with Double-Sided Reciprocating Blade
A petrol-powered hedge trimmer featuring a two-tone green and black plastic engine housing. The unit is equipped with a double-sided reciprocating metal cutting blade. Operational controls include a rear pistol-grip handle with a yellow trigger and safety lockout lever, an integrated rocker switch marked with I and O, and a manual recoil pull-start with a yellow handle. A translucent plastic fuel tank is fitted with a yellow screw-cap embossed with a fuel pump symbol. A standard D-shaped front loop handle is attached to the housing. A rectangular yellow adhesive label is present on the top of the engine housing, bearing multiple lines of black printed text that are not legible. A patch of adhesive residue is visible on the black air filter cover. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels indicating the manufacturer are legible on the item.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of significant outdoor use and storage. Surface oxidation and rust are present across the length of the metal cutting blades (photo 1). The plastic engine housing and handles exhibit scuffs, scratches, and ingrained dirt (photo 2). There is a patch of adhesive residue or tape on the black air filter cover (photo 1). The mechanical and working status of the engine has not been tested. No blade guard is supplied.
