Lot 181: A Contemporary Gilded Rose 24k Gold-Dipped Preserved Rose, with presentation box

A contemporary decorative object in the form of a single rose. The piece is constructed from a natural rose specimen which has been preserved in resin and finished with 24k gold-plating to the stem, leaves, and petal margins. The petals are finished in a deep cobalt blue. The rose is housed in a fitted presentation box with a black textured exterior and red interior. The box lid is decorated with a gold-toned stylised rose and carries the printed text GILDED ROSE BEST WISHES. Accompanying the item is a printed Certificate of Authenticity which states: CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY IS PRESENTED TO GOLDEN ROSE. This certificate of authenticity carries a guarantee that this rose is made of real rose, which has been handcrafted, resin preserved and then dipped in 24k gold to remain forever. No further maker’s marks are present.
