Lot 124: A Contemporary Metal Side Table with Scrolled Legs and Glass Top
A contemporary side table, featuring a rectangular glass top with rounded corners and bevelled edges. The glass top is removable and is held in place by four clear plastic suction pads mounted to the frame. The base is constructed from metal with a textured hammered-effect finish, consisting of four out-swept cabriole-style legs which terminate in scrolled feet. The frame incorporates decorative circular and oval motifs, with the lower scrolled supports meeting at a central spherical boss. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The table shows signs of significant use to the upper surface. The glass top displays extensive fine surface scratching and swirl marks across the entire surface, which are highly visible under direct light (photo 3). The metal base appears structurally sound, with the textured finish remaining intact and showing no signs of loss or corrosion.
