Lot 116: A Round Pedestal Table with Lambretta Stencilled Decoration
A round pedestal table, the circular top featuring stencilled decoration. The top is constructed from a light-toned wood with a clear lacquered finish. It is supported by a central metal pedestal with a black finish, terminating in a stepped, concentric circular base. The top is decorated with stencilled lettering in red and dark green. The upper arc reads AWAY, the central line reads LAMBRETTA, and the lower arc reads OF LIFE. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The table shows signs of use consistent with age and handling. Minor surface scratches and light indentations are present across the wooden top (photo 1). The stencilled decoration remains largely clear, with minor wear visible to the red lettering (photo 3). The black pedestal base exhibits light scuffing and paint wear around the outer edge of the foot (photo 2).
