Lot 112: A Phoenix Mid-20th Century English Harlequin Opalescent Glass Tea Set

This set comprises four opalescent glass cups and four matching saucers in a harlequin colour scheme of pale green, pale blue, peach, and white. Each cup is of rounded form with a small integral loop handle and sits on a matching circular saucer. Every piece is finished with a gilt line around the rim of the cup and the edge of the saucer. An embossed mark is present on the base of the cups featuring the characters PHOENIX arranged in a curve above MADE IN ENGLAND. To the upper right are the characters B and 3, and a central rectangular mark with vertical hatching is also visible. No further maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are present.
