Lot 98: UK 2023 King Charles III Definitives Brilliant Uncirculated Coin Set

This lot comprises an eight-coin brilliant uncirculated definitive set issued by The Royal Mint. The set consists of eight coins in denominations of 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, and £2. The reverse of each coin features a definitive design including depictions of a hazel dormouse, a red squirrel, an oak leaf and acorns, a capercaillie, a puffin, an Atlantic salmon, three bees, and the four floral emblems of the United Kingdom. Each design includes a repeating geometric pattern on one half of the coin face. The obverse of each coin displays the effigy of King Charles III. The set is presented in a cream-coloured fold-out card holder and matching slipcase. The packaging bears the printed purple inscriptions KING CHARLES III DEFINITIVES 2023 UK BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED COIN SET and THE ROYAL MINT THE ORIGINAL MAKER with a central crowned heraldic logo. No hallmarks or metal fineness marks are visible on the coins or packaging.
