Lot 77: Wessex Mint 999 Fine Silver 1 Gram Britannia Bullion Bar
A contemporary silver bullion bar of rectangular form with rounded edges. The obverse is struck with a representation of Britannia holding a trident and a shield featuring a Union Flag motif, set against a background of textured diagonal lines. The face bears the vertical legend BRITANNIA and the maker’s name WESSEX MINT TM, accompanied by a circular logo containing two runic-style characters. The lower portion is struck with the weight and fineness, 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER. The reverse is not visible. No other marks or signatures are present.

Condition report:
The bar shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. Significant dark toning and tarnish are visible across the recessed areas of the obverse (photo 1). Numerous fine surface scratches and scuffs are present on both the raised design elements and the fields (photo 1). Minor contact marks are visible along the edges. The bar is unencapsulated.
