Lot 63: A Gibraltar One Pound Coin in Britain Souvenir Mount

A Gibraltar one pound coin, presented in a square souvenir card mount. The reverse of the metal coin features the Coat of Arms of Gibraltar, depicting a triple-towered castle with a key suspended from the central gateway. This central motif is positioned above a legend struck in capital letters reading MONTIS INSIGNIA CALPE. The denomination ONE POUND is struck around the upper perimeter of the reverse. The coin is secured within a blue card mount featuring silvered printing. The text BRITAIN is positioned at the top centre, flanked by two Union Jack flags and two monograms reading ER. The lower section of the mount is printed with the text ONE POUND COIN. The entire assembly is housed in a square clear plastic protective sleeve. The obverse of the coin is obscured by the card mounting and is not visible. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
