Lot 42: A Novelty .999 Silver One Gram Bullion Piece
A novelty bullion piece, stylised in the form of a smiling emoji pile. The piece is struck with a relief-moulded obverse featuring two black-infilled oval eyes and an upturned mouth. The reverse is flat and struck with three horizontal lines of text in sans-serif characters. The inscription reads 1 GRAM 999 SILVER. Faint mirrored ghosting impressions of the reverse weight markings are visible on the obverse above the eyes. The piece is struck in .999 fine silver. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The bullion piece shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays fine surface scratches, minor pitting, and light surface toning, while the black-infilled facial features remain largely intact (photo 2). The reverse exhibits heavier areas of toning and tarnishing, particularly concentrated around the struck lettering and the irregular edges of the piece (photo 1). Scattered fine surface scratches are present across the reverse field. No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
