Buyer's Premium:

A mantel clock of architectural form featuring a pediment top with a central shell carving above two fluted columns and a stepped plinth base. The white circular dial is printed with black Roman numeral hour markers and red fleur-de-lis motifs, set behind a hinged metal bezel with a glass cover. The mechanical twin-train movement strikes on a double-coiled wire gong and includes a pendulum. A printed device consisting of two crossed arrows is positioned on the dial below the centre arbor. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:

The clock shows signs of age-related surface wear and handling. The wooden case exhibits light scuffs and minor scratches, particularly to the plinth base and edges (photo 1). The metal dial bezel and winding apertures show tarnish and oxidation (photo 2). The interior brass plates of the movement exhibit surface oxidation (photo 3). The pendulum is present. The movement has not been tested for timekeeping or striking accuracy. No winding key is present.
