An Art Deco style bar brooch, constructed from 925 silver. The geometric design is centred by a square box setting which houses a faceted dark metallic hematite stone. The shoulders of the brooch taper towards the terminals and are each grain-set with three small round faceted marcasites, totalling six accent stones. The reverse of the brooch is fitted with a functional pin and C-clasp mechanism. The metal surfaces exhibit a polished finish with areas of natural oxidation in the recesses. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The brooch shows signs of age-related tarnish and light surface wear. There is noticeable tarnish and patina to the silver surfaces, particularly concentrated around the marcasite settings. The central hematite stone displays light surface wear and minor nibbles to the facet edges. All six marcasite accent stones are present and securely set. The pin mechanism remains straight and is in functional working order.
