Lot 340: UK Wessex Mint George and the Dragon Fine Gold 1/1000th oz Bar
A Wessex Mint rectangular bar, struck in fine gold. The obverse features an engraving of Saint George and the Dragon positioned above four floral emblems representing the nations of the United Kingdom: a shamrock, a daffodil, a thistle, and a rose. The bar is struck with a circular logo containing the characters PM, followed by the legends WESSEX MINT, 1/1000TH OZ, and FINE GOLD 999/1000. The bar is housed within a purple and black presentation card, which is printed with a Union Jack flag and the inscription GEORGE AND THE DRAGON 1/1000OZ FINE GOLD. The item is accompanied by a black outer slipcase bearing the silver-tone printed WESSEX MINT name and logo.

Condition report:
The gold bar is in brilliant uncirculated condition, showing no visible surface marks, tarnish, or handling wear (photo 2). The presentation card and outer slipcase are well-preserved with no visible creases, scuffing, or edge wear (photo 1). The item remains sealed within its original plastic display housing.
