Lot 332: An Arched Wall Mirror with an Ornate Embossed Frame
A wall mirror of octagonal arched form, featuring a clear mirror plate held within a decorative frame. The frame is constructed with vertical side rails, a horizontal base, and a three-sectioned arched top. The entire surface of the frame is decorated with a continuous embossed relief pattern consisting of scrolling foliate designs and small floral accents. The frame has a gold-toned finish. The flat mirror glass follows the interior profile of the arched frame. The reverse of the mirror is not visible, and no maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The mirror is in good condition. The mirror glass provides a clear reflection and shows no signs of silvering loss, clouding, or foxing. The frame shows light surface dust and minor wear to the finish along the outer edges and lower corners.
