A penannular brooch-pendant, featuring a decorative head in the form of a six-petal rosette with a raised central boss. The rosette is joined by a rectangular plate to a C-shaped ring finished with spherical terminal balls. A straight, pointed pin is secured through a folded section of the connecting plate and passes through the central ring. The top of the rosette is fitted with a simple suspension loop and a split-ring bail. The piece is of cast construction with raised relief details. Four stamped characters are visible on the front of the connecting plate; these characters are not legible. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The brooch-pendant shows signs of tarnish and handling. Tarnish and oxidation are present within the recessed decorative details of the rosette and around the terminal balls. The metal surface exhibits a pitted texture throughout. The pin is slightly curved along its length. General surface wear and light scratches are visible.
