This lot comprises six United Kingdom commemorative crown coins struck in cupro-nickel. The collection includes a 1951 Festival of Britain crown with the date 1951 and a partially readable edge legend starting CIVIT; a 1953 coronation crown for Queen Elizabeth II inscribed ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA BRITT OMN REGINA FIDEI DEFENSOR and FIVE SHILLINGS; a 1965 Winston Churchill commemorative crown inscribed CHURCHILL; a 1972 silver wedding anniversary crown inscribed ELIZABETH AND PHILIP 20 NOVEMBER 1947-1972; a 1980 birthday crown for the Queen Mother inscribed QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER AUGUST 4th 1980; and a 1981 royal wedding crown inscribed H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES AND LADY DIANA SPENCER 1981. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.


Condition report:

The coins show signs of environmental exposure and handling. Obverses: The 1951 and 1981 examples display significant dark toning and uneven patination; the other coins show light golden toning and fine surface scratches. Reverses: Scattered contact marks and light scratches are visible across all six examples, with more pronounced tarnishing and spotting on the 1981 and 1951 reverses. The coins are not supplied in protective capsules or cases.
