This lot comprises an assortment of English Jasperware stoneware items in pale blue with white bas-relief decoration. The collection includes a circular commemorative plate featuring a central depiction of MARBLE ARCH, bordered by a holly wreath, with the struck inscriptions CHRISTMAS and 1981. Also included is a flared vase decorated with classical scenes and foliate columns, a cylindrical jar with lion-head masks and floral swags, a small circular dish depicting a female figure and child, a square dish with a classical figure, and a small hexagonal lidded trinket box. An impressed mark reading WEDGWOOD, MADE IN, ENGLAND is visible on the base of the circular dish. No other marks are legible on the remaining pieces.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of use and storage. The cylindrical jar is missing its original lid (photo 1). The small circular dish has a surface chip to the blue body on the outer rim (photo 1). The square dish shows a minor blue mark on the lower right corner (photo 1). All pieces show light surface dust consistent with age.
