A collector’s doll produced by The Ashton-Drake Galleries, featuring a head with fixed blue inset eyes and a brown synthetic wig styled with a fringe and white fabric headband. The doll is dressed in a blue and white floral-print dress worn beneath a white pinafore apron finished with eyelet lace at the hem. It possesses a cloth body with limbs of a separate rigid material. The interior sides of the cardboard box are printed with the repeated legend THE ASHTON-DRAKE GALLERIES. An attached blue paper booklet is inscribed with the text HOW TO UNPACK AND DISPLAY YOUR… followed by illegible smaller print. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The doll appears to be in unused condition, retained within its original factory packaging. No visible faults are present on the doll, which remains secured to the internal cardboard structure with original ties (photo 1). Factory-applied protective plastic wrap is present over the head, and bubble wrap is secured around the hands and lower legs. The original cardboard box displays minor signs of shelf wear, including small abrasions to the edges and corners (photo 1). All original instructional documentation remains attached.
