This lot comprises an assortment of ceramic tablewares and decorative items. Included is a service of plates and a matching serving platter featuring printed red poppy and green foliage decoration. A large cream-glazed jug displays a floral spray of poppies and cornflowers. Two teapots of naturalistic crustacean form are finished with textured green and brown glazes and fitted with black-wrapped metal overhead handles. The collection further includes a painted fairy figurine with purple wings, a giraffe-form vase, and a hummingbird ornament among white blossoms. Small animal figures representing a rabbit and a dog are present, together with a metal-framed hand mirror featuring a golden finish. A printed backstamp on a white ceramic plate depicts a crown symbol above the text PALL MALL and WARE, with F.W.R. printed underneath. No other marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items show signs of handling and an accumulation of surface dust throughout. Surface abrasions and minor marks are consistent with storage in a cardboard box. Visible wear is present to the metallic decoration on the teacup. One plate is fitted with a metal spring-tension wall hanger which may cause surface scratching. The delicate wings of the fairy and hummingbird figurines appear to be intact. No original packaging or boxes are supplied.
