Buyer's Premium:

A jam pan of tapered circular form with a rolled upper rim. The vessel is of spun metal construction, featuring visible horizontal lines on the exterior surface. It is fitted with two riveted metal ears which secure a hand-forged arched bail handle. The vessel is designed with a wide mouth and a narrower base. The exterior surface shows numerous small indentations, pits, and dark spots. The interior base exhibits a significant layer of green oxidisation. Two small circular apertures are present near the upper rim, positioned below the handle attachments. The metal handle is of rectangular section and tapers towards the hooked ends that engage with the ears. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.


Condition report:

The item shows signs of environmental exposure and domestic use. The exterior surface has widespread pitting and dark spots (photo 1). The interior base is heavily coated with a green oxidisation layer (photo 1). There are two small drilled holes near the rim, positioned below the handle ears (photo 1). Numerous surface scratches and small dings are visible across the body (photo 1). No additional packaging or accessories are supplied.
