This lot comprises a pair of original watercolour and pen sketches on paper by the artist Jeff Morgan. The first work features an impressionistic study of the Sydney Opera House with figures and café umbrellas, inscribed OPERA HOUSE SYDNEY ’93 in the lower left corner and signed JEFF MORGAN ’93 in the lower right. The second work depicts a broader view of Sydney Harbour with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, inscribed SYDNEY HARBOUR in the lower left and signed JEFF MORGAN in the lower right. Both pieces are executed in a palette of blue, green, and ochre tones with loose, expressive line work. The artworks are presented behind glass in matching frames with a dark finish, thin gilt-effect inner fillets, and cream card mounts. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the frames.

Condition report:
The artworks show no visible signs of foxing, moisture damage, or significant colour fading. The card mounts are clean and free from toning or spotting. The frames exhibit multiple small nicks, scuffs, and areas of finish loss along the outer wooden edges and corners (photo 1). Surface dust is present on the glass.
