This lot comprises three UK 1920 George V silver threepence coins. Each specimen features a bare head George V obverse surrounded by the struck legend GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP. The reverse design consists of a large crowned numeral 3 flanked by the date 19 20, enclosed within a tied oak wreath. The coins are of struck silver construction with plain edges. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items beyond the struck currency legends.
Condition report:
The coins show signs of significant environmental exposure and handling. The obverse surfaces exhibit moderate wear to the high points of the hair and beard, accompanied by numerous fine contact marks and surface abrasions. The reverse surfaces show wear to the crown and wreath details, with natural dark toning present across all three pieces. One specimen exhibits a spot of green oxidation on the reverse edge near the 1 o\'clock position (photo 1). No protective capsules, cases, or original packaging are supplied.
