Lot 195: Roman Empire A Collection of Imperial Coins

This lot comprises a group of Roman Imperial bronze coins of circular form with varying diameters. The obverse designs feature right-facing profiles of emperors, including examples with laureated and diademed heads. One coin obverse bears the legible characters PIVS and ANTI I. A second coin obverse bears the characters VICTOR. The reverse designs, where discernible, include standing figures and military motifs; one reverse bears the characters RAT near the upper edge. The coins are of struck metal construction and exhibit varied dark green and brown patination alongside significant surface encrustation. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the pieces.
