This lot comprises a Star Wars Saga Edition chess set, including thirty-two character figures and a folding game board. The figures are designed with contrasting metallic finishes to distinguish the opposing sides. The Light Side characters include Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO, and R2-D2, with Clone Trooper pawns. The Dark Side includes Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Count Dooku, and General Grievous, with Stormtrooper pawns. Each figure stands on a circular base with a character silhouette icon. The folding board features a checkered pattern overlaid with Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire crests, and is printed STAR WARS SAGA EDITION along the lower edge. The original box bears a circular seal reading INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED COLLECTOR’S EDITION, 128272A. A side flap is printed with © 2005 LUCASFILM LTD. & TM. No other maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The set exhibits signs of use and significant wear to the packaging. The original box shows heavy creasing, crushed corners, and edge wear throughout (photo 1, 5). The internal cardboard structure is visible and worn. The figures appear to be in good condition with no visible losses to the weapons or accessories (photo 2, 3). The folding board shows surface scuffs and minor wear to the central crease (photo 5). Original box and game board are included.
