This lot comprises four hand-painted bird figurines, featuring three specimens with a matte bisque finish and one with a gloss glaze. The group includes a common kingfisher with vibrant blue and orange plumage, perched upon a tree stump base detailed with white flowers and green leaves. Also included is a European robin, depicted on a gnarled stump base accented with holly and red berries, and a male chaffinch showing a grey-blue cap and pinkish breast, similarly positioned on a rustic stump with berries. The final figurine represents a goldcrest with a pale body and yellow head crest, set upon a stylised white stump base with holly leaves. The decoration is applied by hand to each piece. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The figurines show no visible signs of wear or handling. No chips, cracks, or repairs are evident to the plumage, beaks, or bases (photo 1). No original packaging is present.
