A mid-20th century art glass vase, of fazzoletto form, featuring a tall body that tapers to a heavy rectangular base. The piece is constructed with a cased glass technique, presenting a vibrant orange-red exterior layer over a pale pink opalescent interior. The rim is dramatically ruffled and undulating, with a visible white border where the two glass layers meet. The base is formed from thick-walled clear glass with a flat-ground underside. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The vase shows minor signs of handling and shelf wear. Several faint surface scratches are visible on the underside of the clear glass base (photo 4). No chips, cracks, or restorations are evident to the ruffled rim or the main body of the piece. No original packaging or protective case is present.
