A Wickes petrol grass trimmer, of curved shaft form. The unit comprises a 24cc engine housed in a black and yellow plastic casing, with an integrated translucent fuel tank. The metal shaft features a black plastic looped handle and terminates at a trimmer head with a black plastic protective guard. An adhesive black label on the engine housing is printed W WICKES, 24CC, and PETROL GRASS TRIMMER 543187. The label includes directions for the PRIMER/ AMORCEUR/ CEBADO and CHOKE/ ETRANGLEUR/ AHOGADOR, with a right-facing arrow. A red rocker switch on the handle is marked I and STOP in a hexagonal border. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The petrol grass trimmer shows signs of previous use and outdoor storage. The plastic engine housing and fuel tank are coated in a layer of dust and dirt, with the fuel tank displaying age-related yellowing (photo 1). The metal shaft exhibits minor surface marks. The protective guard and trimmer head assembly are heavily soiled with dried grass residue and dried mud (photo 1). The mechanical components and engine functionality remain untested. No original packaging or manual is included.
