A commemorative Jersey silver five pounds coin, of crown size, struck in proof quality to celebrate the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse design features a profile portrait of the Queen looking toward Buckingham Palace, with a stylised 80 logo finished in gold-coloured parcel-gilt. The legend at the base reads FIVE POUNDS. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule and is presented with a printed folder. The booklet cover bears the text EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY, 2006 HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II SILVER PROOF COIN COLLECTION, and JERSEY EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY SILVER PROOF CROWN, with the date range 1926-2006. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The coin appears to be in brilliant proof condition. The reverse displays high lustre and mirror-like fields with no visible contact marks, toning, or fine surface scratches (photo 2). The obverse is not visible for inspection. The item is supplied in a protective plastic capsule and the associated original presentation booklet.
