A large glass posy vase fashioned in the form of a fish. The piece features a rounded body tapering towards a tail that curves upwards and back towards the head. It is constructed with six applied clear glass fins, including dorsal, pectoral, pelvic, and anal fins, each finished with a moulded ribbed texture. The mouth is open to form a central aperture for use as a bud vase. The decoration consists of a vibrant multi-coloured splatter pattern, with flecks of burgundy, lime green, and cobalt blue set against an opaque white ground. The tail section shows elongated streaks of colour within the clear glass. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The item appears to be in good condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or abrasions to the body or the delicate applied clear glass fins (photo 1). The interior of the mouth aperture shows a slightly matte finish consistent with the manufacturing technique (photo 2). The tail and fins are intact and show no signs of structural failure or repair (photo 4, photo 5).
