The reverse displays a central circular emblem featuring a Union Jack above the five Olympic rings, below which is the text CALGARY · WINTER / SEOUL · SUMMER / 1988. The upper edge is inscribed KODAK OFFICIAL SPONSORS OF THE 1988 BRITISH OLYMPIC TEAM, and the lower edge is decorated with a struck laurel wreath. The rim is raised and plain. No hallmarks or metal fineness marks are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The medallion shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays fine surface scratches and moderate tarnish across the field (photo 1). The reverse exhibits significant tarnishing and small spots of green verdigris oxidation near the left edge (photo 2). There is visible wear to the finish along the raised rims and high points of the design. No protective case or original packaging is supplied.
