Estimated price: £100 - £130

Buyer's Premium:

A pedestal table, comprising a circular top with a downturned rim and a cylindrical base with a flared foot. The top is decorated with a central underglaze blue medallion featuring a stylised chrysanthemum and scrolling vines, encircled by a broad band of pale green celadon-type glaze with moulded relief floral and foliate motifs. The outer rim is finished with concentric geometric lattice and ruyi-head scroll borders. The pedestal base is hand-painted in underglaze blue with a continuous shan shui landscape depicting mountains, pavilions, bridges, and figures in boats, positioned above a crested wave border at the foot. A four-character underglaze blue inscription is present on the outer edge of the rim; the characters are not legible as a name or date. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:

The table shows signs of outdoor use and minor firing irregularities. Small iron spots and pitting are visible in the glaze on the top surface (photo 1). Light surface scratches are present across the upper surface (photo 4). Faint staining is noted within the recesses of the moulded decoration and near the central medallion (photo 3). The pedestal and rim appear free from structural cracks or significant chips.
