A glass claret jug, featuring a tapered body with a flared spouted rim and an applied C-scroll handle attached to the neck and shoulder. The bulbous body is decorated with deep-cut multi-pointed starburst and rosette motifs. The accompanying clear glass stopper is finished with a faceted teardrop-shaped finial. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The vessel shows signs of significant structural damage. A horizontal crack is visible running around the circumference of the neck, located just above the upper handle attachment point (photo 2). General light surface scratches are present across the body and base. The glass remains clear without visible internal clouding. No original packaging is supplied.
