This lot comprises a pair of heart-shaped slabs, featuring polished surfaces and composed of pink amethyst. The specimens exhibit a dusty rose to salmon pink colour with a granular crystalline texture. Each slab features natural surface-reaching vugs containing micro-crystalline druze, accompanied by patches of white to grey matrix and yellowish-orange iron oxide staining. The front and reverse faces of both hearts are polished with smooth, rounded edges. The slabs are presented on a black painted metal stand, secured by two sets of caliper-style prongs on a vertical post with a square base. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The mineral specimens show no signs of damage or repair. The slabs exhibit natural internal fractures, surface-reaching vugs, and minor pitting which are inherent features of the material. The metal stand shows minor surface wear and small chips to the black painted finish. The items are supplied without original packaging.
