A Vladimir I type metal coin of irregular flan, featuring a hammered and textured surface. The obverse depicts a central Rurikid trident symbol, known as a Tryzub, encircled by a legend in Cyrillic script including the characters ВЛАДИМИРЪ. The reverse shows a seated figure on a throne, also surrounded by an inscription. The coin is accompanied by a small white metal coiled spring of uniform diameter. Both items are housed in a green velvet-lined presentation case with a hinged lid. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the coin, coil, or case.
Condition report:
The coin and case show signs of handling and environmental exposure. The obverse displays dark toning and several spots of green verdigris (photo 1). The reverse shows similar dark toning and green verdigris (photo 2). The flan is irregular with jagged edges. The hinged case is lined in green velvet.
