This lot comprises two mechanical toy figures based on characters from the Thomas and Friends series. The first is a wind-up walking figure depicting a man in a black top hat, black coat with white detailing, a yellow waistcoat with black buttons, and grey trousers. A white winding key is situated on the figure’s right-hand side. The second item is a motorised toy locomotive featuring a green body with red chassis and buffer beams. The locomotive has a grey character face mounted on a black smokebox and is fitted with metal axles and connecting rods. A black sliding on/off switch is located on the upper rear section of the engine. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on either item.
Condition report:
The items show signs of play wear and age. The walking figure has minor paint loss on the edges of the top hat and the coat (photo 1). The motorised locomotive shows significant paint loss and scuffing to the front red buffer beam (photo 1). Surface oxidation and corrosion are present on the metal connecting rods and axles (photo 1). Both the front and rear couplings are absent. No original packaging is present.
