Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A 2024 Australian silver one dollar coin, featuring the Lunar Year of the Dragon motif. The obverse displays the memorial effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, facing right, with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II 1952-2022 AUSTRALIA 1oz 9999 Ag 1 DOLLAR. The base of the neck bears the small initials JC. The reverse depicts a stylised, colourised dragon in shades of ochre, blue, and red, breathing a teal mist toward a flaming pearl. The background is finished with wave and cloud motifs. Legible struck inscriptions on the reverse include the Chinese character 龍, DRAGON 2024, and the characters P125. The coin features a milled edge.
Condition report:
The coin appears in uncirculated condition with no visible signs of wear or environmental exposure. Obverse: The fields and relief are clear and free from contact marks or scratches. Reverse: The colour application is vibrant and intact, showing no signs of paint loss or surface abrasions. Presented in a clear protective acrylic capsule.
