A Wessex Mint 999 fine gold bar of rectangular form. The obverse is struck with an image of Saint George on horseback slaying a dragon, situated alongside a vertical row of floral symbols: a shamrock, a daffodil, a thistle, and a rose. The lower section of the bar features a circular logo containing the characters P and M in a runic style, followed by the struck inscriptions WESSEX MINT, 1/1000TH OZ, FINE GOLD, and 999/1000. The bar is mounted in its original black and purple printed card presentation packaging. The card is printed with a Union Jack flag and the legend WESSEX MINT, GEORGE AND THE DRAGON, and 1/1000OZ FINE GOLD. No other maker’s marks or signatures are visible.

Condition report:
The gold bar appears in brilliant uncirculated condition with no visible surface scratches, toning, or contact marks on the obverse. The item remains sealed within the integrated clear plastic capsule of the original presentation card. The presentation card shows minor surface scuffing to the black finish and light wear at the corners.
